Hi there! Sorry for not having published this video-post before but I haven't had the time, it's been a busy weekend and honestly I didn't think anyone would be interested but a lot of mums have asked me what do you really need, so I invite you to watch the video but I also write about it here.

We think we need a thousand of things, but I am gonna tell you more or less what you need for a baby room (if you wanna know what you need for the first days of your baby's life, then visit this click-post) without spending too much.

1. Baby crib: and with crib I mean that you need a mattress (don't skimp on this because the baby's sleep is very important), and you need bedsheets, crib protector to not make any damage against the bars and parts of the crib. At this point I will tell you that I did not share a mini-crib, but you can have a small cot if you want something smaller and comfortable in the parents room for the first few months.

2. Diaper changer furniture, in my case I bought a furniture to be able to change on that also let me keep the bedsheets inside, blankets and pyjamas, beside that also diapers, towels and other hygiene stuff. Sometimes you stop using the the furniture to change diaper on sooner, so make sure it is a furniture that you can also use for other things. The one I have is from IKEA and is perfect to use as a drawer. For this furniture you need to buy a mat so the baby can lie supported and you can buy small boxes for the diapers so it looks more cute.

3. Wardrobe. In my case our rooms have built-in wardrobes, but if yours are not, then don't worry to much about this, make sure they are not to expensive because you might change them sooner or later, but make sure they are enough for the first years.

4. On the shelfs in the wardrobe you can have this small baskets where you can put cloth diapers, bibs, socks, shoes and other items.

5. Shelfs. It's not mandatory but it's always good to have some kind of shelf to put some decoration.

6. Another thing I think is interesting is a mat. Here we had a discussion about it because daddy Arturo were saying that it creates a lot of dust and I said it gives atmosphere to the room. I still think a mat is necessary in a room.

7. Armchair or rocking chair. This depends only if you gonna breastfeed or give the bottle in the baby room or in yours. I don't buy it until the baby is born and you can then see how the situation is gonna be, but it is something to keep in mind. In this case maybe it's better for you to buy a cushion for breastfeeding to be more comfortable.

8. Small lamp. I also advise you o have another lamp with not so strong light, for the hours of the night, movement light.

9. And for the last thing, something to hang in the crib for the baby to see things and to feel stimulated, we have one from Chicco that ended up destroyed because he liked it so much. With the music and the lights of the game he slept by himself.

There are two other posts you must visit if you are a mother first time to be, the first on is "the room of my baby", "what you need for the baby", and the other is "what you need for the birth", other is "what you need for the hospital", and the last is "what you spend on a baby". I hope this series of posts will help you, and if you need anything I am here to help!
